How to get your card in CT ..simple version

a lot of people have been asking me how to get your medicinal marijuana card. so this is my simplified version .. I will attach links and as much info as possible to streamline the process for people who are confused.

First thing you need to do is get a letter of qualification from your Primary Care Physician.. If you have any of the listed conditions just ask your doctor to type you up a letter. You do not really even have to tell you doctor what the letter is for if you... are embarrassed..but don't be embarrassed. it's organic. Also, if you do not have a PCP or a doctor call the MMJ Doctors office directly and they still may be able to help you.

next find a MMJ certified doctor in CT that will write you the prescription. the following is the link I used to find a doctor. (they are all different prices..do you homework and get the best deal...I chose CannaCare the one with the most affiliations to groups I recognized like Norml) or just search in MMJ doctors in CT

your MMJ doctor after your initial visit will give you a list of participating dispensaries for you to choose from. I chose the one that was closest to the drs. office in Hartford. (Arrow Alternative Care.. I love it..but it's far for me) There are currently 6 in the state soon to be more...I heard one was even opening in Waterbury for all you local peeps...

then you will have to pay to register with the state (at your dispensary) and wait up to three weeks for your card.  you will get an temporary e-mail card to use until your physical card comes.

it was really intimidating at first but once you go, they make you feel right at home. The prices are a bit high on some products but the variety and different methods available make it much easier to medicate than getting one type of bud and just smoking it... there are oils, edibles, concentrates, buds/flowers, oral drops, sub lingual strips and a lot more... and as more people get their card hopefully the prices will come down..

attached is also the link to the State of Connecticut page:   for better information
