.This is one potent bowl...... I am feeling a great night sleep coming on. Ever since I started the MMJ program a few months ago I have been sleeping so much better. The racing thoughts have been drastically reduced...i don't wake up at hour intervals anymore, i can actually sleep past 4:30am, i can actually get a pretty normal 7-8 hours unless my dogs get off the bed...lol...i wake up feeling refreshed and not the tired mess I used to be...It's still not perfect but I am learning how to use the different strains and methods to properly "medicate" and to not just have my head in the clouds all day...although I do love that feeling...the sleep factor alone is making me feel so much better..my concentration levels while working have improved, it also feels like my thought process has improved..as well as my neck and back pain.... well enough of a rant for this evening.. gonna go catch some serious zzzzzzzzzzz's

Strain: ,"Nicole Kush (MK Ultra x Blueberry x Shishkaberry) x Kosher Kush"...

First Impression: best aroma of the 4 strains i picked up a few weeks ago...sweetest and strongest

Taste: very terpy, citrusy, a bit skunky but sweet
Effect: heavy eyelids right away, relaxed, able to focus, not flighty..feeling kind of silly (that's rare)
Rosin Test: pass ..a great return  .1g pressed a nice sized dab in return...

I guess it depends on the website you use as reference, also depends on the phenotype of the strain but it seems..Nicole Kush is either 75/25 Sativa heavy or 75/25 Indica heavy...well i guess i'll find out soon enough.. this strain boasts  a 21.5% THC and a few terpenes present A-Pinene 0.2%, B-pinene 0.2% limonene .5% linaool .1% and B-carophyllene .1%

Usually a Sativa heavy hybrid will make me a little edgy and get energy bursts but i don't feel that with this one..i'm guessing what I have here is more of an Indica heavy hybrid...not sure but I am enjoying the ride so far...started off with a hit from the tiny Wadelph before i switched to the Arizer desktop vape...Not overly hungry...feeling even keeled..not anxious...and i can still get work done...looking forward to a nice relaxing evening... i was feeling rather antsy before igot medicated but now i'm not...so this one is a keeper...really great buzz and not feeling too much pain and zero anxiety...yay...

My version of anti-inflammatory gummies

****this is an untested recipe: i will be following up to let you know how they turn out.****

**** I repeat only a test recipe****

List of Ingredients:

~4 packets Knox unflavored gelatin.....updated from 2        (8 grams protein and 20 calories total)
~2 oz black cherry or tart cherry juice                                 (for anti inflammatory properties)
~2 cups tea ..I made my own blend         (lemon ginger, spicy ginger, 3 slices ginger, 2 slice turmeric,                                                                  dried rose hips,  dried chamomile flowers)
~1-2 grams decarboxylated kief              i used BLACK SHADOW INDICOL D kief
~2 tablespoons medicated honey             (very easy to make)


Make Tea: 3 cups water..2 tea bags of your choice.....I added slices of fresh ginger and turmeric (powdered is ok if it's all you have)..dried rose hips and chamomile flower..they are known for anti-inflammatory and calming benefits. also because i already had them...bring to a boil ..let steep for 10 minutes or more..boil down to 2 cups or drink the rest......you really want to concentrate the flavors...

decarboxylate kief:  if you skip this step your kief will not have the THC activated

 bake in oven 10-15 minutes at 240 deg F

 put on timer..do not over cook you will lose your THC/CBD content

add to 2 tbsp. medicated honey stir well....

strain tea into mason jar and add honey mixture...shake or stir until incorporated

tea mixture with kief and medicated honey stirred in

sprinkle pkts of gelatin over 2 oz cold fruit juice mix well and let sit for a min. it will become like 

jelly it calls for 2 packets but i'm thinking i should have used all 4..for a firmer gummy...

.pour tea mixture back into sauce pan bring to a boil

once juice is jelled turn down heat add juice mixture and keep stirring with whisk until smooth

 simmering  about 5 minutes you want the gelatin to be smooth not gritty

ladle into silicone molds or a glass baking dish

ran out of room..

put a very thin layer in the glass pyrex dish easy to cut..

refrigerate until hardened at least 4 hours... 

the only thing i'm concerned with is dosing..since they are for me it doesn't really matter....

1 gram / 1000 mg  kief + 2 medicated tbsp honey i'm guessing is about 40 mg per tbsp..i made it so it's not exact. 

so 1080 mg kief ..not sure what the THC equivalent is...

so if i divide what i have into 20 pieces 8 in the tray 12 slices from the pyrex..

.i'm gonna approximate each dose at 50 mg kief (not THC) each...so extremely weak...lol...

.I'm gonna need some more scientific equipment ;) 

it sucks only having a little bit to work with...if i mess up a recipe the buds gone forever..

i hope they work...look for an update tomorrow and i will let you know how they affected me..

2:20 NOTES:

~   I would use more gelatin next time gummies are bit bit more jello like than a stable gummy

~taste is mild not overly sweetened, i was going for that..if you like sweet gummies just add more sugar or honey

~i ate two small squares from the pyrex at 2:20 ..i will check in again soon to see how I feel. 

6pm still feel medicated head wise ..back and neck pain kicking up a bit so i will have another gummy square..no anxiety at all and ready to just relax ..

so I guess the recipe needs to be modified a bit...more gelatin...a bit more kief or maybe wax next time...but i really like the natural approach away from the boxed Jello because of the sugar and artificial colors...but try new things..you won't know what will work unless you try it...

Effect: Amazing..a great euphoric buzz..creative...rush of calm..

I have some art projects to finish up so I'm hoping this is the perfect strain to use to get them done..I have been really off the past few days. I'm not exactly sure why but i'm hoping it's the attitude adjustment I need.  Can Bruce Banner tame my inner Hulk?...so far so good..I feel so much better even a few minutes later. My muscles are relaxed and I'm ready to get started...This is really a smooth selection in the wax pen really nice...also my mind keeps wandering ..in a good way...so off to ART I go....PEACE

I try to run this "quick test" on all the new bud/flowers I pick up. just to make sure they still have trichomes...plus i like to experiment..looking for solvent free methods..as I am rying to stay organic....although i'm told this process can affect the terpenes..i checked the boiling point chart and I don't think I'm losing much.
This is a test that I so I can see the return of resin. I press the buds for 10-15 seconds at between 250-300 with the hand vice grip..there are many factors that can change the return of the bud...but i keep my test consistent..

First impression: a little on the dark side..but i'm told sometime that's ok..

Scent: not much scent

Taste: carmel, earthy, but mild

Finish: shatter consistency but in small pieces

Effect: a very energetic uplifting strain..makes me hungry, and make me very creative  

I try not to hit this one too hard .just a tiny bit in my Dr. Dabber and i'm off.... i tried a little bit and the effect were amazing and very fast..it doesn't seem to have as much flavor/ terpenes as some of the others i have tried but it still packs a really nice punch. It gave me the energy and focus to get through several projects without needing to re~medicate often. I am prone to anxiety attacks so I really can't do most sativas in high doses..just a little dab will do...before switching to a hybrid or indica..but that's just me...also just noticed i was staring off into space for a while...lol..not really hitting the pain in my back and shoulder at all though... might need a cookie..(m)edibles seem to work best for my muscle pain for some reason..have a great day ~  PEACE

Canna~CoCo~Butter

MY RECIPE:

1 stick unsalted organic butter
1/2 cup organic coconut oil
1/4 to 1/2 oz. decarboxylated* bud/ ABV* bud/ or pressed rosin chips ground into a fine powder
1 mason jar

~boil water in medium saucepan
~put stick of butter and coconut oil into mason jar
~grind up decarbed bud, ABV or rosin chips into a fine powder ( you can add more or less depending on how strong you want it)
~when completely melted add ground bud into jar stir thoroughly
~reduce heat to medium just under boiling around 180F may want to use a thermometer..
~place mason jar into pot of water uncovered
~let simmer for at least 4 hours preferably longer up to 6 (watch water level in pan.. put timer on if you need help remembering like i do) :)

**use on everything**

          you can strain if you like...but i don't... i grind it up really fine..adds fiber...lmao

* you can use a crock pot to make the process even easier for larger amounts but I only do small    batches so this process works best for me..

**HERB.com says ..Use the following estimated amounts of cannabis for each pound of butter (1 pound = 2 cups)

Ø  Leaf – 1.5 to 2 ounces

Ø  Trim – 1 ounce

Ø  Trim Smoke and Bud – .5 to .75 ounces

Ø  Kief and Hash – 3 to 4 grams

*decarboxylation ~ 
1. Preheat the oven to 240° F. / 115° C.
2. Break up cannabis flowers and buds into smaller pieces with    your hands.
3. Put the pieces in one layer in a glass pyrex dish lined with parchment cover with foil
4. Bake the cannabis for 30 to 40 minutes, gently shake every 10 minutes so that it toasts evenly.
5. Make edibles or tinctures

*ABV ( Already Been Vaped) ~ Saved cannabis from desktop type vaporizer and reused to make edibles and tinctures

*Pressed Rosin/Resin Chips ~ I have been doing some experimental rosin/resin extraction SOLVENT FREE methods using a hair straightener parchment paper squares and a hand vice grips.. ok return.. nothing special yet... still learning techniques from  Nikka T...Cali...Mr. Nice Guy 420,  Jason S., Bubbleman's World on You Tube...check it out... good stuff ...

This is the kind of bud i have been waiting to see since i joined the MMJ program in CT. This bud is perfectly manicured..still has all of the trichomes on it..is still squishy and not powder dry. When you touch it you fingers get a little sticky and smell like resin/terpenes...that's what is supposed to be like. One can easily see the time and effort put into this perfect plant. I am really happy to have had a chance to get some of this strain. I am a huge Indica fan and this strain so far has made me a truly happy patient...i will keep you updated as the night goes on..but I can't wait to get back to my vaporizer for some more of this delicious treat..update: 2 hours later not couch locked or overly tired still feeling great and calm...this strain doesn't make my mind wander perfect for this time of night..nice smooth indica buzz.

i really like this strain. ..just filled a second balloon from my Arizer extreme Q desktop vape... just gonna sit here and chill for a while.. this is a really nice hybrid blend... it's perfect for me not too much energy and no couch lock.. it's an extremely well balanced buzz...i can get a lot of work done and not forget what i am doing. i feel very calm and uplifted and the stiffness is my neck and shoulders seems to be melting away. i really enjoy using the balloon vape because it helps me to enjoy the flavors better. I smoked a rolled joint last night in honor of 420 and found it to be really harsh..(i used to smoke blunts all day every day)...i prefer the smoother vapor and it makes for a happy household when you don't "stink up the joint"...lmao...i'm happily surprised this sativa hybrid doesn't give me an abundance of energy..most make me run like the energizer bunny..BLUE DREAM... i highly recommend this strain... this would be great for a nice hike in the woods or stroll along the beach.. it also seems to be enhancing my appreciation for nature...and i can't stop smiling ;)  Have a great day.
