canna honey recipe

There are a variety of Cannahoney recipes that call for anywhere from 1 ounce to 3 ounces of cannabis per 5 pounds of honey. The potency of the recipes on this site depends on the concentration of cannabis in your essential ingredient. The amount of cannabis in the recipe below is just a suggestion and can be modified according to your personal dosage. This is way too much for me to make. I divide the recipe by 4.  also, I like an indica strain to use because I drink most of my tea at night and indicas for me are better for relaxation and sleep.

Time Required: 6 to 24 hours

*****Yields 80 to 100 Servings***

to reduce use 1/4 oz. cannabis to 20oz. honey...I prefer to use ABV (already been vaped) here instead of fresh cannabis....yield 20-30 servings

What You Need:
  • Crock pot
  • 1 ounce cannabis
  • 5 pounds (80 ounces) honey.
  • cheesecloth
  • string

Steps:
  1. Wrap cannabis  (broken up but not too fine or it will go thru cheesecloth) in cheese cloth. Secure bundle with string.
  2. Place bundle in crock pot. Pour honey to cover. (I use mason jars immersed in water in the crock pot for ease of cleaning..getting the honey out of the crock pot is a nightmare...lol)
  3. Cover and cook on low for 4 to 5 hours, stirring a few times per hour.
  4. Turn crock pot off and let honey sit to cool for up to 24 hours.
  5. Remove bundle from the honey, squeezing as much honey from the cheesecloth as possible.
  6. Ladle honey into jars to store.
