Medical marijuana has become a go-to
remedy to treat or alleviate the symptoms of many chronic or life-threatening
health issues. Something great about cannabis is that patients can use it in a
number of ways, including smoking, as an edible, in oil form, or brewed in a
special tea. Like traditional teas, cannabis tea can be brewed or enjoyed in
several different ways. Try these three recipes to ingest medical marijuana in
a way that is both delicious and easy.
Herbal Cannabis Tea

1-2 cups water
·
1 tea bag (any
flavor)
·
1/2 gram
marijuana buds (ABV or decaboxylated for increased potency)
·
Medicated Honey
and/or sugar (to taste)
·
Metal tea ball
Then follow these directions:
1.
grind
thoroughly.
2.
Mix the contents
of the tea bag with the ground marijuana buds and place in the tea ball. Place
tea ball in a mug.
3.
Boil water on
the stove or using a microwave's beverage setting to heat up water. Pour
boiling water into mug, over the tea ball.
4.
Steep tea for
about five minutes, to desired strength and flavor.
5.
Stir in honey or
sugar as necessary to sweeten.
Medical Marijuana Latte
.
2 cups whole
milk (cow, coconut or hemp)
·
1 cup water
·
1/2 gram
marijuana buds (ABV or decarboxylated bud for increased potency)
·
1 tablespoon
butter
·
1 tea bag (any
flavor)
·
1 teaspoon
vanilla extract
·
Honey, sugar
and/or cinnamon (to taste)
·
Metal tea ball
1.
grind
thoroughly.
2.
Mix ground
marijuana, butter, milk and vanilla extract thoroughly in a blender or briskly
by hand in a bowl.
3.
Leave mixture at
room temperature for at least one hour to maximize flavor.
4.
Empty contents
of tea bag into metal tea ball. Additional ground cannabis can be added, if
desired.
5.
Pour blended
mixture into a small pot and stir in water. Add tea ball.
6.
Simmer for 20
minutes at medium heat, make sure that it doesn't boil.
7.
Pour into a tall
mug to enjoy it hot, or mix with crushed ice for a cold drink.
Sweet Iced Cannabis Tea
·
8 cups water
·
4 pitcher-sized
tea bags or 8 individual tea bags
·
2 grams
marijuana buds (ABV or decarboxylated for increased potency)
·
1 1/2 cups sugar
·
Large tea
infuser ball
·
Ice
·
Gallon-sized
plastic or glass jug
1.
Separate seeds
and stems from marijuana buds and grind thoroughly.
2.
Empty the
contents of tea bags into the large tea infuser ball and mix in ground
marijuana buds.
3.
Bring water to a
fast boil in a pot on the stove and drop in infuser ball. Allow tea to steep
for about 10 minutes while water continues to boil.
4.
Remove tea
infuser ball from water and then remove water from heat.
5.
Pour in sugar
and stir briskly so it dissolves into liquid.
6.
Add ice to fill
half of the gallon jug. Pour still-hot tea over ice and refrigerate
immediately.
7. Allow to refrigerate and cool for at least a half hour before drinking.
